Doctor Assadourian qualified from St Thomas’ Hospital (UMDS), London University in 1993. He specialised as a GP on the St Georges Hospital London accredited training rotation, gaining Membership of The Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998. He has a BSc Honours degree in Pharmacology (1988), Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (1996), Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning & Reproductive Health (1996) and also a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (2009). In May 2008 he was elected to become a Fellow of The Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Assadourian joined his NHS practice in Hampshire in 1998 as a full time partner. He was the senior partner at this practice from 2019 to 2023.
Over his 25 years as a GP partner, Dr Assadourian has a broad wealth of general practice medical experience caring for patients from all backgrounds. In addition to NHS patients, he spent 21 years as the school medical officer to a co-educational private boarding school in Hampshire for pupils aged 11 to 18 years. The practice in which he was a partner provided medical cover for an exclusive local 5 star hotel in Hampshire and also provided care to refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Dr Assadourian has experience of being a GP trainer for 19 years, training the doctors of the future, as part of the Wessex Deanery scheme. He has held several posts as a board member for NHS healthcare provider/commissioning groups and was also a board member for the Hampshire Local Medical Committee for a 6 year period, representing the needs of his patients & GP colleagues.
Dr Assadourian has worked in the private sector and also for locum sessions in the NHS. He performs a full range of general practice services including chronic disease management, cardiology, respiratory medicine, mental health, dermatology, care of the elderly, blood tests/clinical investigations and medicals. He is happy to treat babies, children and adults of all ages. If needed, he can refer to specialist consultants when appropriate.
